Eric has really enjoyed the summer. Despite having a few limitations (not going to the pool for example), he's been very busy and the summer has flown by. He has been in three camps, talks about the Fourth of July parade nearly every day and is looking forward to starting school in just TWO weeks!

The Fourth of July was a huge day for us. First, Eric and I went to the parade, where he waved his flag the entire time
That afternoon, we went to a cookout
And later that evening, Audrey and her family came over to watch fireworks from our driveway!
Miss little blue eyes
One evening, we met Tim at the Zoo and had a wonderful night
The stingray made a guest appearance just for us We were very lucky to visit with our friends Jeff and Jaime from Chicago, and their two little boys (and girl on the way!)
One day we took a trip to COSI to see the dinosaurs!
Marisa had the pleasure of having 3 of her best friends from college visit for a girls weekend!
Happy girl! This was even after waking up!
I got to take the kids to Charleston for a wonderful and much needed trip to visit with family. Not only did we get to catch up with "cousins" Ashton and Britton...
But we got to introduce Mama Jean to Julia for the first time. It was so special getting to spend time together and having Mama Jean play with the kids!
While in Charleston, we also got to meet Renee's daughter, Olivia (left)
Eric and Ashton got to enjoy the Winnie the Pooh movie together
We love summer! Eric even learned to enjoy corn right off the cob
